Commemorative Event “Odessa – the city of glory”10 April 2018, New York (USA), Davidson Media theatre lounge

The Odessa community of New York traditionally enjoys great respect from inhabitants of Odessa. On April 10, 2018, this community organized a concert dedicated to the Day of Liberation of the city of Odessa.

The event included a historical reconstruction of the commemorated event through a photo exhibition of two sets of work, namely photos from the WWII and the period of the last 4 years.

Additionally, there was a presentation of the book, titled “Ethnology of Odessa” by Professor of Anthropology at Odessa National University Alexander Prigarin. The book discusses the stages of evolution of Odessa as a diverse city thus attempting to explain many of today’s processes in this region.
